Hello, I am Bob Harper, and I thank you for checking out my website.

I have been a professional photographer for almost 15 years. I have a studio in Olde Hampton, Virginia, where I have a small repurposed space adjacent to St. John’s Episcopal Church, where I happen to worship.  

The focus of my business is providing clients the opportunity to have customized fine art that features their family, the ones they love the most!

I create mostly classic wall art portraits, although some clients prefer smaller portrait galleries with a contemporary style.  I also offer albums and portrait folios.  

In addition to family portraits, I also offer executive portraits, as well as portraits for high school seniors and pets.  

I offer photo restorations of prized heirloom portraits and photographs.

Before becoming a portraitist, I had a career as an Army Infantry officer followed by a few years supporting our nation in the Defense industry.  I am a Vietnam veteran, Army Ranger, and Master Parachutist.  

As for photography credentials, I am a member of the Professional Photographers of America (PPA), where I serve as a Councilor for Virginia.  I also hold degrees of Master of Photography and Photographic Craftsman from PPA and am a Certified Professional Photographer.  I am likewise a member of the Virginia Professional Photographers Association (VPPA), where I hold the Fellow of Photography and Service to Photography degrees.  I currently serve as a Board member and am a former Board Chair and President of this organization.

My life experiences have revealed to me that by far the most valuable treasures we are blessed with are the ones we love through family and friendships.  I now dedicate my life to assisting my clients in preserving for all time the gratitude and love inherent in these most precious relationships through my award-winning, fine art portraiture.
